I was coming to a bit of a stagnant phase in the writing. It was clear I needed to do something radical. Also forthcoming was a trip to Paris with my girlfriend for my birthday. It was on my mind that the writing would inevitably suffer in this small getaway and thus I did try and write more on days such as this when I reached the 3000 landmark. Not a very resoundingly trumpeted landmark.
