Sunday 22nd June 2008 (pp3280-7)

I thought of an ending for my book, I think. I kind of had one before but now I think I've got a proper one.

Saturday 21st June 2008 (pp2369-79)

Some here about reading the guardian on a saturday. Now I read it in the bakery as I work alone. I take my time, have a break, do the crosswords. The bread is better if I take my time anyway.

Friday 20th June 2008 (pp3260-8)

And so, here we are, we have caught up. The entry for 20th June 2008 is being posted on 20th June 2013. I got behind over the time when I was moving and just forgot about it as well and then the wi-fi on my scanner wasn't working, neither was the scan program so I had to use a different one and I wasn't very happy about it. But finally I found a system I was happy with and I started scanning in slightly lower quality which makes it a whole lot faster, and in a whirl of productivity and effort like a smaller less impressive imitation of the actual island man writing project I have caught up. I could have given up. I'm sure no one would have minded (cared).

Thursday 19th June 2008 (pp3253-9)

And there is evidence of some effort being made to consolidate losses. At the top of one of the pages below we see it says '50 behind'. It might be preferable just not to look because you don't want the punch in the face of reality, like when you have been losing at poker and you don't check your funds because you prefer the uncertainty.

Wednesday 18th June 2008 (pp3250-2)

Oooh it's not looking good at the moment. Quite a lot of angry desperation and not wanting to write. Everything's getting too much. But these are the times when we can take the opportunity to prove something to ourselves, grow as people, overcome barriers with pure brute mental force.

Tuesday 17th June 2008 (pp23421-9)

Do things like make the chapters really short to access different areas of creativity, because creativity can be a shy retiring elusive moody beast, like a limpet you have to surprise it to pull it off the rock.

Monday 16th June 2008 (pp3228-40)

The first two pages of blue writing sum up the relationship quite succinctly and presciently, considering we were to stay together for a fair time longer. I don't wholly regret it though. I learnt things I might not have learnt if we broke up after a few months and the hostility did me good for sure.
