Monday 2nd June 2008 (pp3098-107)

The crisis of the protagonist about whether he wants to go to the island or not lies as an obvious parallel to the author's indecision as to whether he wants to be in a relationship or not. Differing levels of love projected in different directions, with varying amounts of conviction and comprehension and such like whatnot.

And did vomiting my confusion onto the page ever help? Did I ever unconfuse myself ever? Not really no. It is always usually better to talk to people than it is to write it down. In the sense of making sense of it usually.
