Wednesday 19th September 2007 (pp653-660)

I'm pretty sure we had an Esiotrot gig today. I can work it out from the description in the writing of the train journey back. The Icelandic girl came after work. It was somewhere in Shoreditch but it was quite difficult to get to. It took a lot of walking. Nicola also came. They were both on the guestlist and I remember Nicola leaving just as the Icelandic girl (she who must not be named) turned up. It was symbolic, like a passing of the baton, the burden/honour of being with me.

I had an apple pie with me. I asked at the bar for some milk.

Though the gig was insignificant and few people came, I remember thinking that the train journey was fun so it was worth her coming.
