Thursday 6th March 2008 (pp2238-45)

The writing on the back of the notebook is an Icelandic folk song:

'Mother dear don't weep weep
As you milk the sheep sheep
I will bring my rags for you
So you'll go a-dancing too
You'll go a-dancing too.'

I think it was about a dead child who came back to his mother who was too poor to go out dancing. I found it in the library. When I was in there there was an Icelandic girl who noticed I had written it on my notebook. She recognised it and said her mother used to sing that song.
