Page 1688's faint imprint of the previous day's row boat row song with it's jolly sailor on solid waves; a continued section outlined, a digression for pages to be inserted; a bold red pen causes confident confrontational words; and then the original blue pen is found again and on 1696-7 listlessness sets in, you can see it in the extensive and vigorous doodles; I can only assume I decided I didn't like that blue pen (was it the Gate Inn pen from my childhood?) and I found the black pen to replace it and finish the entry, an altogether erratic but complete one.
