On this day, I was travelling to London for some kind of Esiotrot engagement. Recording? Or was it the gig in Manchester? Yes I think it was. It was a little inner city festival. We got the coach up and spent most of the day and evening hanging around waiting to play. We doodled faces on a reproduction of a painting of some apples in an arts supplement. Nicola and Kate were there. Nicola gave me the book Esio Trot by Roald Dahl and 'Junkie' by William S Burroughs. I did all this writing on the train up. Bulters and jazz spiders and stuff.
On Saturday 14th July 2007, I started to write a book about an island man, by writing ten pages a day. I did it for about a year and a half, more or less. This year, 2012, starting on Saturday July 14th, I'm going to scan all these pages in day by day and post them on this blog, for what it's worth.

BONUS POST. End of notebook/beginning of new notebook, includes end of notebook miscellanea which in turn includes diary of nervous twitches (written while listening to the new Radiohead album, 'In Rainbows' for the first time) and Catalogue the Content.
Getting close to p1000 now. Something special happens on that page. So watch out.

The kind of day when I just write what's in my mind, unaltered, pretty much unfictionalised, though probably often highly metphoricalised. Most interesting here is probably the list of chocolate cakes I had eaten in the last week or so. It's impressive. I was eating a lot of cake around that time.
