Effort to return to writing the anna story. Still at post office.
On Saturday 14th July 2007, I started to write a book about an island man, by writing ten pages a day. I did it for about a year and a half, more or less. This year, 2012, starting on Saturday July 14th, I'm going to scan all these pages in day by day and post them on this blog, for what it's worth.

Monday 17th December 2007 (pp1537-8)
Not sure what happened here. Maybe too busy buying presents. The end of the second page seems quite angry.
Sunday 16th December 2007 (pp1526-36)
Today I worked an extra day at the post office. We got paid extra. It was quiet, less people. On the way home I went to a pub, that pub on the corner of Gardner street, can't remember its name, to do a bit of writing, and I had a nice hot chocolate.
Got home and my girlfriend was cutting Tiana's hair, or Ed's, and then other stuff happened, probably.
Saturday 15th December 2007 (pp1516-25)
Did stuff in the day then went out with my girlfriend for a meal at Bill's in the evening, but I was thinking about the snooker I was missing. It was the second semi-final, Ronnie O'Sullivan vs. Mark Selby. James was sending me text message updates which I tried to read surreptitiously. When we got back it was still going, thankfully. Ronnie was winning. He only needed one frame, but Selby was catching up. It went to a final frame decider, which Ronnie won in spectacular style with a 147 clearance. It was one of the most exciting things I've ever seen.
Friday 14th December 2007 (pp1505-15)
I went to Bystander café after work, got enough writing done, though Philip was trying to engage me in conversation, and then a came home to a stony bedroom, but a welcoming living room with friends gathered.
I don't think I had been catching much of the snooker due to work at the post office. Today was the first semi-final.

Thursday 13th December 2007 (pp1499-504)
Just remembered that on Sunday 2nd December 2007 I went up to London in the evening to record some trumpet for 'Cinnamon and Honey', the Carpet Ministry Christmas single. It was a fleeting visit to the studio. It smelt like bonfire. We had some cassis made by Duncan's mum. Then I missed the last train home and had to stay in London. The train journey back in the morning took ages, we were stuck just outside Brighton station for about half an hour. I was reading some Charles Dickens.
Wednesday 12th December 2007 (pp1492-8)
The hours did begin to drag towards the end of the day at the post office. I would take long slow walks through the deserted factory to the toilet.
In the breaks I ate mince pies and satsumas. I was winning the mince pie eating competition.
