I remember sitting on the train getting close to Brighton, near Polegate or Lewes and I was thinking about the girl I was writing about having fluorescent second hand clothing. Maybe this was tomorrow.
On Saturday 14th July 2007, I started to write a book about an island man, by writing ten pages a day. I did it for about a year and a half, more or less. This year, 2012, starting on Saturday July 14th, I'm going to scan all these pages in day by day and post them on this blog, for what it's worth.

Saturday 3rd November 2007 (pp1110-1115)
So yes I did go to Dover. I can't quite remember why, probably just to visit home for a bit. I used to do that quite a lot. I bought this new notebook in a poundshop. I think I might even have borrowed some money from my mum to buy it.
The first page of this new silver notebook felt like a positive new start. My handwriting became neater and I wrote with focus the story of a girl, the island man's first love.
Thursday 1st November 2007 (pp1077-1087)
Yes, good, productive, fiction, about island man as a youth, also some stuff about writing habits, probably upset today, being given the silent treatment, trying to find a space to be alone.
